The American Cancer Society has a simple mission: “Saving lives by helping people stay well, get well, find cures & fight back.” They help one take steps to prevent cancer or find it at its earliest, most treatable stage. They're in one’s corner around the clock to help one through every step of the cancer experience. They fund and conduct research that helps all better understand, prevent, and cure cancer. They work with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communities worldwide to join the fight. Cancer touches everyone, support ACS and help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays!
Relay Around Columbus is pleased to contribute with direct support to Fellowship of Christian Athletes (of Central Ohio) to send kids to their various summer camps. FCA athletes and their families will be found at various volunteer positions around the RAC course and we are thankful to have them participate with us in this capacity. ESP embraces and shares the FCA belief of: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7). http://www.ohio-fca.org/
The Mid-Ohio Foodbank is dedicated to feeding hungry people by collecting and distributing food and grocery products, educating the community about hunger, advocating for hunger-relief programs, and collaborating with others who address basic human needs. Relay Around Columbus shares their vision of: To build & sustain a community that makes food accessible to all people. We will ask all volunteers and participants to join RAC in donating food items to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank event weekend.
